You hear it all the time: “success is a state of mind.” Have you ever wondered how two leaders can go after the same goal in the same way and yet just one of them succeeds? Is it sheer luck? Timing? Perseverance? The webinar explores 7 mindset themes.
Success is a state of mind
You hear it all the time: “success is a state of mind.” Have you ever wondered how two leaders can go after the same goal in the same way and yet just one of them succeeds? Is it sheer luck? Timing? Perseverance?
More often than not, it’s a person’s mindset; how they see the world – that determines whether they fail or succeed. The most successful leaders invariably share a set of core skills, beliefs and values that help them persevere as they grow their businesses. Belief and capability are not enough, however. To lead in turbulent times is to know how to work at the level of mindset.
As you come down the COVID-19 mountain you will wrestle with the question “How do we come out of this stronger?” Your thinking may be expressed in different ways –possibly, a new business model, pushing digitalisation and/or organisation redesign– but the way forward must, of necessity, embrace the culture you have and the culture you need moving forward.
Let us assume that, coming out of this stronger does, indeed, mean revisiting the way the business does business. A leader who can’t work at the level of mindset will be unable to move forward. An organisation that ignores or overlooks mindset is missing a critical piece of the culture puzzle.
The webinar explores 7 mindset themes:
- Crisis, culture and the central role of mindset plays
- Can you change mindset?
- Mental rehearsal
- We are copying machines
- Storytelling
- The importance of language and metaphor
- Changing the patterns of play
